Colour Your Hair for Mental Health is a national fundraising campaign raising funds for mental health research. We are asking all Australians, either in teams or individually, to colour their hair in any way during Mental Health Week, 7th to 13th October 2019.
What is Colour Your Hair for Mental Health?
What will the funds raised go towards?
Every dollar raised will support world leading medical research into depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. These conditions are experienced by many, yet we know little about what causes them or what is happening in our brains when they occur. By asking your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you, you’re funding ground-breaking research that will lead towards a better understanding on mental health.
With nearly half of all Australians experiencing some form of mental illness in their lifetime, we urgently need more research funding. We need to shine a light on just how and why mental health impacts so many people, to find more effective treatments and improve the quality of life of those living with these conditions.
When is the event taking place?
During Mental Health Week, 7th to 13th October 2019. Colour your hair the way you like during this time in support for mental health and research.
